Knapp eineinhalb Jahre nach ihrem – ja, nennen wir es einfach – Comeback Album „Two Windows“ meldet sich die Indietronic Institution Lali Puna mit einer neuen EP zurück. Die Band um Valerie Trebeljahr, Christian Heiß und Christoph Brandner hat vier neue Stücke eingespielt (inkl. ein Dave DK Remix), die im März via Morr Music veröffentlicht werden. Das titelgebende Stück „Being Water“ wurde heute als Vorbote released. Für den dazugehörigen Streifen zeigt sich die Künstlerin Cora Piantoni verantwortlich. Die Idee hinter dem Video erklärt Trebeljahr wie folgt:

Who could symbolize living in capitalism better than a dog living in the city? It never can do what a dog really needs to do. At the same time it’s not totally bad. It’s simply his reality that he can’t escape from. I had this vague idea about this dog and then asked my friend Cora Piantoni, who is an artist from Zurich. […] And Cora found Petty, this nice little dog, quite naive, but always optimistic. I think the video fits very well to the song – and luckily it’s more cheerful than the lyrics :)

Lali Puna sind nach der Veröffentlichung von „Being Water“ auch wieder in ganz Europa unterwegs und werden auch einen Stopp in Deutschland einlegen. Man darf hoffen, dass noch weitere Termine folgen werden.
